Where Is My Transport

In emerging markets, WhereIsMyTransport plays a pivotal role as the central source of mobility and location data. The mission is to make the often complex and word-of-mouth public transport systems transparent, improving the lives of billions of people. WIMT understands the challenges faced, from safety concerns for women travellers to unstructured routes and disruptions causing extended commutes.

By providing transparent information, the aim is to empower individuals to make better choices, find alternative routes, and regain control over their travel experiences in cities where transport systems can be chaotic yet exciting.

Skills

Working over four products, I lead a team of designers to create experiences that try to understand and empathise with the people they are built for; in doing this, we create a better experience when travelling across their city.

+ Rumbo is a consumer-facing app that helps people navigate their city
+ A internal app that allows people to ‘collect’ the routes of their city
+ A internal app that processes the collections
+ A internal app that creates disruption alerts for cities and tells the people that it affects.
+ An experimental app that allowed bus drivers to contribute their routes
